Battery Hooked Up To Electrical Today For First Time – 1966 VW Beetle Project

Now that the wiring harness is installed, and hooked up properly, I decided it was time to hook up the battery to the system. Everything works great! I did notice the left turn signal flashes a bit faster than the right turn signal. Both front and rear bulbs are working on both the left/right side, so I’m not sure what the issue could be (yet). I’m sure it’s something simple.

Other than that, everything is working GREAT! Here are some pictures, and a video from this evening…

First let me say good job on your bug! It’s nice to see when someone takes the time to get all the details done right. I wanted to ask you if all the sound proofing you did under the headliner and doors made much of a difference while you are driving? I’m in the middle of building a daily driver baja bug and have always hated how loud bugs are while driving.

Thanks a lot, Luis. I totally recommend using the sound deadening material. It really cuts down on road noise and engine noise.
