Sound Deadening Material Installed – 1966 VW Beetle Project

I got the rest of the sound deadening material installed today. You may remember from a previous post that I installed sound deadening material in the roof as well. The product I used is called RoadBlockR™ Sound Deadening by SoundproofCow.  I also used a little bit of their 1″ thick Echo Absorber™ – Natural Blend product for the rear quarter panels.

I’m really happy with the results. All the shiny foil makes it look like a solar oven in there. Maybe I should break out some hot dogs and see if I can make lunch on it tomorrow… LOL!

Here are some before/after pictures:

I stumbled upon this project while researching some sound deadening for my 67 beetle and wow…Amazing attention to detail, great write-ups and what a beautiful car. Needless to say I am subscribed! I just stripped my 67 and I POR15’d the pan. Looking to put some sound deadening material and I was wondering if you recall how much you purchased? Any info would be great!

    Thanks! Steve
